How I Price Machine Embroidery Digitizing

My embroidery digitizing is priced based upon the complexity and detail of the design provided to me for digitizing. I do not price the creation of a digitized design by its ultimate stitch count.

The quality of an embroidery design is not based upon the number of stitches in it, no more than a painting is judged by the number of brush strokes the artist applied.

It seems to me that if a digitizer is basing the price on the design's final stitch count, then it's only human nature to cram in as many stitches as possible. In my opinion that is not professional digitizing. Stitching is not digitizing. It is a separate process.

So I have no pricing schedule. Each project is unique, each project is important. Some require little time or materials to complete to my satisfaction; others are much more time and labor intensive, but the ultimate goal of each design I digitize is to exceed your expectations.
